Great affordable local family owned and operated restaurants have disappeared in the Frederick area. Overpriced mediocre franchises have all but made them extinct. Village Tavern has stood its ground with excellent food, affordable prices, welcoming family atmosphere, friendly staff and loyal customers who appreciate all of the above. When we go out to dinner its straight to Walkersville and The Village Tavern.

Food and service time are decent. The tables and chairs are that of cheap and uncomfortable cafeteria material.
