This place is the best Ocean City has to offer in terms of nightlife...errr actually one of the only places as wel. The staff definitely have a chip on their shoulder, but they're a wannabe club so what do you expect. There is a cover on weekends, but its only like $10 tops, and that's cheap for me (NY cover starts at $15 for guys usually). Once inside, lots of places to sit, lots of places to explore, to dance, to drink, lots of interesting people to meet or avoid, etc. The drinks are also very cheap, only like $3 for a decent draft beer. Their DJ's were okay, but it wasn't like I was expecting anything special. The bands they book though, in my experience, are pretty good. Not pretty good in that they're all amazing, but they are all entertaining and actively engage the crowd. One reggae band in particular stands out to me in that they had an old guy as the lead singer who made the rounds very well, a sick guitarist, and a very good keyboard/backup singer (they did a very good cover of Freebird as well). I'd recommend going with a few friends as a lot of people were in groups. Also there were a nice amount of older people there, but the main thing to remember here is that everyone will be drunk. If that's not you, then don't go, because people do get a little rowdy. At the end of the night don't worry about it, as you will also have an entertaining bus ride home ahead of you.
Be careful at this bar. Two customers, Joshua Ford and Geney Crutchley went to this club for an evening of drinks and socialization. They were lured from this club by a married couple, Erika and Benjamin Sifrit. The foursome went back to the Sifrit's. They were brutally murdered, decapitated, and Benjamin Sifrit soaked in a hot tub with their decapitated heads in the tub with him. The couples met on a bus, went to this club, and left together. Just be careful. M William Phelps wrote a book, Cruel Death about the case. Be careful.
Went to this place for lunch with my mother, doorman at 1pm asked to see my ID (wasn't even trying to drnk) All I has was my millitary ID which has my birthdate, I'm 23. He would only accept a state issued ID.They wouldnt let me in. We were furious, they ended up getting a manager who let us in. Dumb rules and the food was DIRT! TOURIST TRAP!!
Heaven on earth! Seriously this place is a blast. The drinks are awesome and there are so many options--pina coladas, red bull slushies, rum runners, coffee-flavored and more! The Big Bamboo is a doozy. Sitting out in the bay and drinking is the bees knees. It was crazy this past weekend and so much fun. They had a couple of bands playing, so many bars open, and the weather was perfect. We had lunch here, too, and it was surprisingly tasty. Seafood quesadilla and crab toast are on the must have list. Fish taco was a bit odd. Pricing is fair, too, at least for the drinks. All $5-8 a piece.
This place is staffed by a bunch of goons who have no understanding of customer service or management. The staff expects to have their ass kissed. Right there, alone, is intolerable service. Your staff are normal people, who get an equal amount of respect as everyone else. That is a realistic expectation. Conversly, the oblivious staffs' misguided and mismanaged expectation of receiving an inordinate amount of respect, from the customer of all people, completely destroyed the customer experience and caused this review to be written. Businesses in Ocean City should be hiring people who can manage their people and issues, not people who make bad business decisions or escalate issues. I won't be visiting this place again, any of it's subsidiaries, and telling everyone I know not to go.
