Came from NY to OC for H2oi. Not a spot I would usually go to but it was actually pretty nice environment. Good selection of beer although I couldn't even get a second drink bc the bartender kept walking by me after I called him and held out money, wasnt even that busy but whatever Really just wanted a drink
October 11, 2014 - Comfortable atmosphere and bartender "John" was very hospitable and personable!! Being that we are not from the area he made a huge difference, thanks John!! Thanks for introducing us to the Jolly Rancher!
Saw local band AlterEgo.. Comfortable bar stools, small dance floor, nice long counters, decent tables. Mixed ages ranging from 30-60. Reasonably priced drinks. No food, but they allow BYO.
Great place to stop in and have a drink on Thanksgiving. We've done it two years in a row, plus we met some new friends. The best part of the place is the owner (don't know his name) and Omar the bartender. The owner generously sold us his Moose in a Can which we are so happy to have! Omar is a great and cheerful bartender. Is his name really Omar?
I've walked this boardwalk many times and I bump into friends in this bar most often. I'm from the area and have gone to the Purple Moose for years. It's a staple on the Ocean City, MD, boardwalk. Good beer selection, rock and roll, busy hang out, etc.
