What is not to love about this place - and they have satellite broadband for free! Also, interesting local produce and crafts!
I love this Co-op! They have a good range of my four food groups: dairy, dairy, breads, and homemade sweet things, awesome coffee, a place to sit down, use their free dsl, eat, and talk, and it's a quiet co-op. Greenfield's co-op is always racing. I come to Leverett (which is closer to my house in Montague, anyway), for peace of mind AND good food. Besides offering veggies and every day items, they have a bakery with fresh breads, sweet rolls, pizza by the slice, (you can order whole pies for takeout on Friday evenings), as well as locally-made artisan dishes, hats, jewelry, and candles. They also have a good supply of natural facial and body products, too. I love the Leverett Co-op for its peacefulness, friendliness, and good food. P.S. They have a parking lot, and they accept credit cards for purchases over $10.00.
The Leverett Village Coop is located at the North Eastern end of Rattlesnake Gutter Road at Moores Corner, Leverett, Massachusetts. It's a great local Coop and worth a visit. The Google Earth location for the coop is incorrect because the road numbering system in Google Earth is notoriously inaccurate for most of Western Massachusetts. Rattlesnake Gutter road is closed for most of its length and had been for more than a decade due to a landslide. It is open only for a short segment at either its Moores Corner termination with North Leverett and Dudleyville Roads and at its Montague Road Termination. and is only open to through traffic to Mill yard and Hemingway roads on the Moores corner end.
