We were missing the Border Grille in Leominster so we made the drive out to Gardner. Food was delicious, exactly what we wanted. Parking was a little tough, but we made do.
How can a place serving EXACTLY the same food as their sister location in Leominster, The Border Grille" flop on every dish? It is the best Mexican in Gardner - Athol - Orange area and totally palatable but if you KNOW what it is supposed to taste like it is very disappointing.
The seafood was mostly tasteless and disappointing. The haddock was under cooked. My margarita rocked tho!
Always have a good experience when we eat there
Oh man, what fantastic food! They have fantastic apps and awesome meals. The margaritas are fantastic, and they don't seem to skimp at all. Try the boneless border wings and dip them in their absurdly tasty ranch. Need something for the kids? How about great chicken fingers with honey mustard that any child could love. The buffet is a great deal, and on select days it's a fantastic deal! Prime rib, taquitos, stuffed haddock AND the staple taco/fajita mix? *drool* Yes, please! This probably sounds like a strategically placed review by the proprietor, but I assure you... coming from this LONG time customer...It's worth every penny. The only thing I would change is the Nachos. They're fantastic (chili and chicken mix all the way), don't get me wrong, but they've definitely gotten smaller over the years. They even toss some lettuce on there for some filler. I get it though... things are just more expensive to make now. Let me just toss one more fantastic in there... Fantastic!
