My husband is away from home and working and it was his birthday so I wanted something special for dinner Since Don's was next to his hotel I decided to call them. I wanted something special that wasnt on the menu and the owner was more than happy to have me speak with Anna the catering manager who was so professional and kind made it easy When I called that night to place the order Mandy picked up the phone suggested how my huge steak was to be cooked was so helpful and kind and professional also My husband went to get his food didnt even wait in line it was all ready he had cowboy 20 oz steak cooked to perfection with their special mashed potato and for dessert he had the cheesecake which his words out of his world the steak was so big he ate it throughout the night but did finish Thanks to everyone at Dons and the chef for a dinner birthday experience we will be back!! 10/26/14 Had a family dinner with 12 people, everyone ordered from corn dogs to seafood combos. The food came one and two orders at a time. Some were almost done eating before other orders were served. The seafood gumbo was so salty it was not good. two people agreed on that. Some of the fried shrimp was over cooked and some under cooked.The oysters were good. Paid an 18 % gratuity due to large party. Paid cash and was 81 cents short, no small change, seems trivial, but the money is not the point. My grandson and I had the seafood gumbo and both developed severe diarrhea . .
It's a good place to go. Their fried shrimp wasn't overly impressive (homemade cheesecake was great though). Service was good at the bar.

From the Great food such as jacked up oysters, stuffed catfish, Seafood Gumbo ( with or without oysters) and a Turtle cheese cake to finish it off sounds like a great meal! The wait staff are always very friendly and helpful! Thanks Dons:)
