Had a family reunion here back in 2012 and our stay was terrible. In our cabin specifically, we had absolutely NO air conditioning the entire time. Our stay was in July, so you can only imagine how unbelievably hot it was. We contacted maintenance several times, but the air was never fixed. They didn't do anything to accommodate us, so we burned up for four whole days. The cabins are so incredibly run down and out of date, the locks kept getting stuck on us. I literally got locked in the bedroom for 30 minutes and maintenance had to come pry the door open. The cabin was dirty, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. The price of the SMALL cabin was so expensive as well. The people weren't even nice about it either, we contacted the guy who owns Lee's Ford, JD Hamilton, and he was unbelievably rude to us.. refused to refund our money or do anything to make up for the horrible stay. So please, if you are thinking about having a family reunion here.. or staying at one of these cabins for another purpose.. think twice and find another place. Trust me, you will be disappointed.

I've not dealt with Lee's Ford directly but from getting a quote over the phone, I know that I will not ever be doing business with them unless they do some major price restructuring. I wanted to rent a Jet Ski for a day, and Lee's Ford is the only marina in the area that offers this service. I was expecting a reasonable quote for renting a Jet Ski midweek, and found out quickly that it costs nearly $300 to rent a three passenger Jet Ski for 4hours. $300!? I could rent a $40,000 Cadillac for 24hrs at that price, yet a $6,000 watercraft which costs 1/5 the price of the Cadillac is $300. No way. Hopefully other marinas will start offering Jet Skis at reasonable prices or we will just have to miss out.

JD Hamilton has run Lee's Ford Facility to the pits. I have been going to the lake for 40 years. In times past, I thought Lee's Ford was one of the best. Since JD Hamilton took over it has become about the worst! He seems to want to draw all the reputation and money out of the facility and return none. Last year I spent a week in a "deluxe" cottage there, and found it to be a dump. The restaurant had poor help with a terrible attitude. I tried to talk to the owner personally, staying in a cottage next to his. He just walked away from me as if I wasn't there. I would not recommend this place to a group of dogs! Dirty, Ill repair, not worthy of it's past glory and not worth of your hard earned dollars for consideration. I was ripped off at the cottage, restaurant and especially the marina.

This place is a great retreat away for a weekend or a family vacation. We do our dock dog club events their and it was the best time I had in awhile. It was raing and pooring and we still enjoyed every min. THANK YOU LEES FORD!
