Great little place; didn't go inside but looks great from the outside. Sat out on the patio and had some supper and a few drinks with friends. Waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. The only negative; it may or may not have been the food, but later in the evening I felt a bit peaked. My Black & Blue burger was absolutely delicious, and absolutely cooked to order. As restaurants have a tendency to overcook meats I asked for it medium rare expecting it to be medium...but it was definitely medium rare, perhaps a little on the rare side. I ate it anyway, because it was my own damn fault and I've eaten medium rare hamburgers before without issue. So perhaps it was something else that made me feel crappy. But a friend I was with ate some of the portobello fries and the fried shrimp, and also said she felt a bit queasy later. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I felt compelled to mention it. Food tasted great though; amazing real fries, not McDonalds crap; fried pickles with chipotle sauce were fabulous, and they have Guiness, which made me uber-happy. For anyone who lives on South 4th Street...it's an awesome place to grab a drink with friends; within walking distance of Central Park, just a block from the Prince Hookah lounge.

New ownership has transformed the place into a cool college themed bar with great food and reasonably priced drinks. The Knocker Burger is unbelievable. Hand cut fries were delicious and unexpected. I'll definitely be back.

Friendly people. Good pub food. Full range of wine, beer (bottled & tapped), and liquor. Special deals on some nights such as 1/2 price wine night (Thursdays) plus a trivia night for the fun-and-games bunch. Try it! You'll like it!

Definitely an old tavern. But the best part of it is that since it's old it has the license to open at 6:00AM! You can go after a night of partying and get an omelette and a bloody mary and then go sleep off your hangover. Amazing spot for cheap pitchers and bar food. If the Granville is too crowded this should be your spot, it's right down the street.
