We had a great experience at Chaney's today. The ice cream was fantastic. Our children can't stop talking about how "generous" the scoops were. Thanks for a refreshing stop on a hot summer day!
Disappointed. We have two girls (2 and 4) and read online reviews about what a great place this is. I'm sure it is a fun place when you actually get to take the tour, but that is not offered to people just stopping in. The farm is not as close as I imagined, and walking over to it (several hundred feet) on a hot day with two littles was not going to happen. The food was ok. My grilled cheese sandwich was burnt. The ice cream was good. There is a playground out back, but it was too hot to let them play. It is more of a restaurant than an experience (which is what we anticipated after reading reviews).
The best chicken salad in Bowling Green and the WOW NOW brownie cow ice cream is the ultimate example of how ice cream should be made.
I love going to Chaney's for their soup and sandwich combo. They have the best potato soup around. Not to mention, you get to follow it up with some of that homemade ice cream. I love all of their unique flavors including pumpkin!
