The food is outrageously expensive. I am originally from Chicago so I was looking for an authentic Greek restaurant and decided to try the Parthenon as the reviews seemed favorable for the most part. I was extremely disappointed in the service, but the food was average.The server forgot to add an order of Greek fries to the order and had the nerve to not only make us wait nearly fifteen minutes for the fries but she also told us we would have to come back to the counter to pay for the fries when we finished our meals; the fries should have been on the house as this was the cashier's mistake. Service was so bad that I actually regret including a tip. I spent 96 dollars at this "fast food" restaurant and I did not get a thank you from the cashier or servers. We were practically the only people in the "grill" so there really was no excuse for the poor service. I have spent half that amount of money in Greek town and received complimentary ouzo drinks and desserts. In addition, the gyro meat was weak in flavor as was the tsaziki sauce. The saganaki was not flamed at our table which was also a major disappointment for my 12-year-old son. I could cook Greek food better then the owners of this restaurant and for far less. I have never experienced such rude staff at such a high-price "fast food" restaurant in my life.
This is my favorite place to get a burger in all of the Lafayette area. I love the Greek versions of everything, particularly their Greek fries. Prices are fair for what you get. It's family owned, and they're all really nice and friendly.
The food was amazing and tasted very fresh. Love that it's a family owned restaurant. It has the convenience of a counter service but the quality and service of a table service, with daily specials too. Highly recommend it!
One of my favorites restaurants! Food is delicious! My favorites are the chicken kabob and the chicken bacon ranch pita.
We have always liked the Parthenon since they opened in Chauncey Hill Mall. We went there on our first date.
