I just called to set up my cake tasting for my vow renewal and the baker refused to set up my cake tasting "so far in advance of the wedding date!" how unprofessional! I explained to her that the reason I wanted to do my tasting so early is bc I am having surgery that will give me dietary restrictions for a very long time and that i need to do everything ahead of time! DO NOT GO TO THIS BAKERY! worst customer service EVER!!!
For the second year they provided an excellent service by delivering a birthday cake to our son even with a short notice call. He told us he enjoyed the cake with his friends. This is something especially nice to hear for parents living abroad, which is our case. Thanks!
Always get our cakes here! Not to mention excellent cookies ready to go.
I just picked up my son's 1st birthday cake and was pretty disappointed with the decorations. I had shopped around the area at Payless, Meijer and several other locally owned bakeries. I took in many pictures of the Mickey Mouse themed cake that I was wanting. The decorations on the cake were amateur and the Mickey Mouse on the small cake for my son was not really "Mickey Mouse". My son, who can recognize Mickey from a mile away, did not recognize this Mickey which was really disappointing. I was wondering if my expectations were too high but several of my friends said they would have been disappointed with the cake as well. I will say that the cake was delicious. However, not having my son being able to recognize Mickey kind of overshadowed the taste of the cake.
I recently order a birthday cake from Baker's Peak and was pleasantly surprised, actually estatic to find they need less than a day in advance, they have a multitude of flavors to choose from, and to top it off, they have comparable prices to Payless grocery store! I definitely recommend this bakery for their cookies, brownies, and especially their cakes. Support this local business because their goods are delicious!
