Bonge's Tavern

Arrive early. Bring lawn chairs. Get the wedge. Sign your name. Great food, drinks, service, and a touch of charm.
Grossly overpriced for the quality of the food received. My prime rib was little different than what I could have purchased at OCharlie's for half the price. While the experience was definitely unique, I was disappointed that I spent 4 hours in a parking lot for what I received- especially after driving out to the middle of nowhere. I will admit the crab cake appetizer was amazing. Perhaps if I go again, I will order 4 or 5 of them. Otherwise, I'll just drive to Eddie Merlot's and enjoy better food, a better atmosphere and a bathroom that not only works but is clean. Bonge's may be great food for Madison County, but anyone who has frequented fine dining will be greatly disappointed. Don't believe the hype.
Great food, excellent service and clean atmosphere. Awesome
Excellent food with excellent service. Prepare to wait for a table as it is always popular. Bring lawn chairs and a cooler for tailgating outside while you wait with other guests. Very cool atmosphere and well worth the drive to Perkinsville. Love the tomato soup and all entrees I have tried over the years. Reservations for large groups only in the private dining room up to around 14 guests.
Great place. Went here with some out of state business clients and the experience was positive. Wanted to go somewhere different and that could show a more progressive side of nightlife outside of Indianpolis. Would have given a fifth star but was told I could not make reservations for the limited number in my party. Because of that we had to wait about 25 minutes which was somewhat unnerving. However, probably more my fault than Bonges.
