What I hate about Black Dog is that they have spoiled all other BBQs for me. Love the smokiness AND their homemade sauces. Worth the wait. And takeout is great, too.
Great food if you don't mind waiting. Well worth the wait. Try the combo platter then when you go back next time you will know what you like. Great beer and whiskey selects also. Hat off to you black dog. ..
The vibe is cool here and its reputation is well earned. The burnt ends were right on point and the pit beans were delish. The beer menu may be small but it's packed with high quality brews you'll want to sip along with the great bbq. I'll certainly be back!
Horrible everything, first off, there are 5 booths, 4 tables up front, and the bar only for seating, the place is so so small, the staff is constantly running up to the board by the front door which no more than like 5 people can stand their while waiting and see whos next, the employees are extremely rude, the food is nothing fancy what so ever, its plain ol BBQ, get real people, it took 30 minutes for them to bring us our food that is clearly already made, the portions are extremely small, and the actual BBQ IS NOT WORTH A DAMN, i ordered three beers while i was there and none of them are cold, they are barely cool to the touch
One of the best bbq restaurants I've ever been to. Go early and order the burnt ends before they run out. Thank me later. Cornbread and beans are probably your best bets for sides.
