*NOTE** They only take CASH, but do have an ATM on site Came here on 3/14/2015 for a PI day event for a local club that we are a part of. We had the entire room booked up on the left side, which is the "event room" or "banquet hall" type of area. We have ~45 people or so here. I arrived later than the rest to the party, which is fine. I was greeted rather quickly by the staff, who were nice and friendly. We wandered around, and found us a seat. I had to track down a waitress to get a menu, which I cannot blame her for because of the strict amount of people in a small location. We ordered a dutch apple pie, with a scoop of vanilla. The Pie ended up coming out colder than the Ice Cream did, which I thought was odd. it being so cold really ruined the taste of it. The ice cream was cold, but not as cold as the pie. It did not have much taste to it either. It seemed like one of the low fat/low sugar ice creams you can get at the store. I was not too impressed with either. I had to hunt down the waitress again for the check, who dropped it at the table, and then walked away to take care of the other tables there. When I walked to the other side to pay, I overheard the cashier complaining to someone in the back that we ate all the pies, and there will be none left for tomorrow, which strikes me odd because they can just make more pies, this is a pie joint, right? This comment makes me believe that the pies are just store-bought, not home made anymore, which is a sad, sad day. Overall, I was not very impressed with this place. They do not seem to hold up anymore to the history of the restaurant -------------------------------- Service - 3/5 Food Quality- 2/5 Serving Size - 2/5 Speediness - 3/5 Atmosphere - 3/5 Overall: 3/5 --------------------------------- Suggestion to business: Don't freeze your pies, and don't store buy them. Nothing beats a home made pie. Also, Talking about your lack of supplies in front of your customers is unprofessional, and shows a lack of planing for demand, especially on a special event such as PI day.
Love the chiligetti and pies!
Crowded parking lot, a good sign...escarpment chicken, reasonable prices and truck parking. CASH ONLY, there is an atm here.
Good food. Friendly staff. Great place for a break.
This has got to be the best home style cooking in the area. If you drive past this place you are making a big misake. Great sandwiches, fried chicken to die for and fabulous salads. The pies are all homemade and available for sale. We will never pass this without stopping in for some really good eats!
