Traveling through Independence, IA on Friday after Thanksgiving, my husband and I wanted to eat lunch in an independently owned cafe. The Buttermilk Cafe couldn't have been more perfect. We each had an omelette and hash browns. Both were cooked perfectly--the omelettes were soft in the middle, the hash browns had a few crispy bits but not overcooked. Independence is lucky to have such a friendly cafe with delicious, comforting food.
Just moved here. Great people ready to tell me about independence. Excellent food at an affordable price. Will return often!
