The West Side Diner is one of the nicest, probably the best restaurant in Iowa that I've been to. The two best waitresses that I love are Sonya and Jessica. The food gets cooked and served quite fast and is very enjoyable. My favorite appetizers have to be the pickled chips and cheese balls. If you want to go to a place for the whole family with a wide selection the West Side Family Restaurant would be the place.

Delicious home cooking. Staff and owner very cordial. They stayed open late to accommodate us. Desserts sounded awesome but sizable serving portions filled our traveling bellies!
I used to live right next door and so i used to eat there a lot, mainly for breakfast. I loved how it opens up so early in the morning since i am a morning person. I like how they use real sippy cups for the kids. They did a whole renovation on the inside and it looks so much nicer than it first did. My family and I have eaten there a few times for lunch but there is not a lot if you are a vegetarian. My son loves the chocolate chip pancakes. It is a good place to take the family or friends who are visiting out of town or state.
The food is very good but they raised the prices 2 pay 4 the remodeling job they did
