Paradise Cove Luau
Reviews
My wife and I attended a Luau at Paradise Cove in December 2014 while on a cruise to Hawaii. It was our first Luau and I have to say the food was outstanding! The Kahlua Pork was the best I have ever had and the fried chicken was so good! The entertainment was very cool not to mention the beautiful sunset on the beach just before dinner. Overall everyone made our visit one to remember I would definitely recommend Paradise Cove to anybody visiting Hawaii
very nice show. the stuff leading up to it was just fluff to make more money. have some free activities like lei making and temporary tattoos drawn by hand. food was wonderful and lots of it. we will go again if given the chance. got a discount when renting our stuff at snorkel Bob's. dancers were great. free drink was a disgrace and bar was a bit expensive.
I attended a so called "luau" at paradise cove on 1/24/2015. It was one of the biggest rip offs I have ever experienced! They bus you 27 miles with a tour girl who thinks funny and somehow entertaining, I mean she did not stop talking on a loud PA to and from Honolulu, with absolute stupid bull shit conversation. and the luau? come on, a free sugary drink when you arrive, and then you have a $16 card to wait in line sometimes 30 minutes to purchase their drinks, (3 of the 8oz draft beers were $18), and liquor? all no name (their label) worst than bottom shelf! then your dining experience, grab your rubbermaid chair cause soon you will be called to the buffet! I'm a 27 year army veteran and believe me the food in the military was much better! this whole thing was a joke at our expense. can you believe we paid $125 each for this? the only positive was the show, but still didn't make up for our disappointment SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO ELSEWARE
My wife and another couple participated in a Luau event on Saturday Jan 24, 2015. The husband and friend of the couple, was 27 years in military, and is not on active duty. On the phone while making reservation "Brittney" at first advertised discounts, then redacted the statement. While questioning her, she became rude and quite insulting. I asked her why someone in Oahu is behaving like an "Ahole" she returned the comments by putting me on hold, but only charged my CC for the cost of admission, military price. so... I thanked her and moved on; While entering the bus that drives you 27 miles from Waikiki, "CJ", asked for military ID. My friend showed. and she let us proceed after looking on both sides and the edges, as if it were a "fake". About 10 minutes after loading, and before the driver put the bus in gear, "Miss Congeniality" approached us on the buss, while 30 others on board were witnesses. And questioned my friend again about his military status. When he said he was retired, she quickly indicated my CC was to be charged an additional 27.00 per person. I said; what ever.... you are embarrassing us in front of an audience, cant we just deal with it upon arrival? That said, she started he "miss microphone" propaganda speech as the driver started down the lane. 10 miles into the trip, she once again approached me. asking my why I was not having fun? and why I was "eyeing" her up and down. It nothing to do with fun at that point, as she had just embarrassed me in front of 28 others... and insulted my friend about his military services. CJ, totally missed the point!! Finally, the interaction at the event; It was terrible!! The food was not a bountiful harvest, they ran out of pulled pork. We waited in line each time for drinks. The dinner seating was on dirt. with $3.00 plastic chairs that you buy at walmart. The show was the only decent thing about the experience. All of this fun, costs $505.00 for a group of 4 You decide My decision is made for the future, and If I can stop 1 person from participating ..... My words are a success Business owner from Arizona
