Anybody giving this place below 5 stars is an idiot. The drinks are fantastic (I normally never have mixed drinks). The food is some of the best I've ever had; fresh and delicious. We were on the island for 7 nights and at here 4 of them (the other 3 were a luau, dinner cruise, and late night desperation). Should have eaten here all 7!

So I may get a lot of Crap for this review but my experience is based on bar service. My husband and I went here for our date night because we've heard and read great things about Monkey Pod. It was, as always, very busy but we were lucky and got 2 seats at the bar. The atmosphere was nice and we saw lots of servers with smiles and having a good time. Our servers, or bar tenders, seemed a bit stressed however. When we sat down we were not really greeted just sort of acknowledged. When we asked what their favorite thing on the menu was we got a very long answer about how they focus on fresh local produce and grass fed cows and that they are not there to make cheap food and a profit.....uh okay that's all good and all but we never actually got an answer. We ordered the turkey burger and the mushroom pizza. Now I don't have a refined pallet and maybe you need one to eat there but to me everything was just.....salty. Everything! And the fries!? SALTY! We spent $40 for a salty pizza and a salty turkey burger and the fries didn't even come with the burger! They were extra! And when we cashed out the bar tender made it a point of telling us how busy he was and that we would have to wait till he made 3 blended margaritas before he could help us. Unfortunately we won't be back.

We just spent two hours at Monkey pod. Our hostess was very nice and got us the table we had requested a week earlier. 25 minutes at the bar starting off our New Years Eve with a drink. Can't say enough about the bar staff. Mike is a real great guy and very helpful when they didn't have the vodka I wanted. Proceeded to the table (on time) and Giovanni was 'perfect'. He was so nice and attentive although the place was packed with customers. We took his suggestion and had the fresh fish for dinner. SUPERB is all I can say. I see these negative reviews and am stumped. We've eaten here more than 5 times in 2 years and never had a bad meal or service. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of service on a busy New Years Eve night and everyone was especially nice. The manager very attentive to any issues.We would recommend the pumpkin ravioli, delicious and house mixed salad was great. Again, I don't know if someone just had a bad day, but 5-0 is pretty good in restaurant experience. We will go back.

Everything was amazing. And happy hour pizzas and wings half off. I could probably live on the cucumber dipping sauce for the wings alone.

5 star. Had the fish sandwich. Terrific ahi that easily flaked and had an amazing smoked flavor
