Quinn's Almost by the Sea

Only came here because 99% of restaurants in Kona close at 8-9pm. What a disappointment! I left hungry because 2 of the dishes I ordered were disgusting:( Clams - old, stinky. I had this chlorine aftertaste in my mouth for half an hour. Crab stuffed avocado salad - cheapest plastic ingredients, crab mix was ridiculous - mayo mostly with some weird stuff. Husband ordered local fish special - Ono, came super dry. Hated it! Even if you're starving and this is the only place open - go to bed hungry, seriously!!!:(

Good food, good service. Was more crowded than normal I suppose due to the Brewfest. One of the patrons had too much to drink and had a personal protein spill near the table, which the staff cleaned ASAP.

We were told the fish and chips were the best, but we were disappointed. The fish, while fresh, was tasteless. My wife said she could only taste flour and I could not force another piece down if they paid me. We even tried to drown it in lemon, salt and pepper and it was still very bad. DO NOT get the fish and chips. The servers were nice, but not nice enough for us to EVER go back.

Great server even told us about the kids sliders that commonly get sent back and suggest the adult burger as replacement for the sliders without the tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. Food was great. Got some of the best fish and chips I have had (we got ono fish). Great prices and over all great. Would suggest this to other people and would go again.

Standard Irish bar feel/decor. Service was good but the food was just so-so. Much of the menu is fried food. Fish and chips were overdone. My wife did enjoy the fish wrap, though. Average prices for the area. You won't leave angry but you won't leave with a fond memory either.
