I wish I could give 2 separate ratings for this place. The first would be 2 stars: for the takeout. $14 for a sandwich. Not an amazing sandwich by any means; bread that I could buy at Safeway, plain lunch meat and other toppings. If you want cheese it's $2 more. What sandwich doesn't come with cheese? The server even complained and talked about the exorbitant prices. DO NOT GET TAKEOUT FROM HERE. The other rating is for the restaurant itself, which has good food and the quality matches the price.
Some good food where we didn't have to wait too long. After the beach, we got ourselves some burgers and fish and chips. Good amount of food that satisfied our hunger. The staff was super friendly also.
After a long day hiking in Haena State Park, this place really hit the spot. The service was relatively prompt, and the food was tasty. The fish and chips were made of marlin (the catch of the day) and came with a side of good, fresh French fries. Would definitely recommend. We also ordered a veggie burger, which ended up being very good.
Nice place to drop into for lunch or an early, casual dinner. Menu has good variety and reasonable prices. (Local) fish & chips special always a sure bet.
The food was the best I've had on Kauai so far, tasted great and a good price. Fresh, fresh fish, fantastic fries, great atmosphere in a neat old school house. We may be headed back tomorrow.
