LongHorn Steakhouse

I gave the food poor because I never actually got to taste it. Saturday before Mothers Day, oldest son and his wife and 2 children, myself, youngest son, and wife, all met @ 4:30 in the afternoon to have an early celebration for Mothers Day. After waiting about 10 minutes, the young boy who was the host finally came to me and offered to stick us in the first booth as you come in the door. I said to him, there are 7 of us,(my son is over 6'2 and I'm 5'11 and we're both over 200 lbs.) no way we can fit comfortably in that booth. He said its either that booth or we would have to wait 45 minutes or more, and they had a party of 25? coming in. We left. But not before I took a quick look around. I noticed that instead of couples sitting at booths and 4 tops, that there were at least 6 couples occupying large tables by themselves, and the big corner booth that seats like 8 or more, had only 2 people eating there. I understand that customers like to sit where they like, because I do, but when you lose business because your staff does not know how to seat people, you need new staff. Anyone who has ever worked in the food industry in the dining area knows you never seat 2 people at a 6 top or larger. There are special circumstances, but I am sure all 7 of those couples did not have special circumstances. Either the staff has no clue how to seat people or they just told the customers to sit where they wanted to. Either way, we left, went to Millhouse down at I-95.
So far this restaurant has not disappointed. The steaks were done very well and the waiters were both prompt and polite. As it stands I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Gotta say, I love a good steak so I am SO happy Kingsland approved a LongHorn. I get a medium rare Flo's Filet all the time (: And they always get the temperature perfect and their mashed potatoes are so yummy! The service could be a bit better and the bartender could be a bit nicer but over all, I will definitely go again!
Food is really good. Call ahead seating is garbage though. We called ahead twice two separate time and both times they screwed it up. The door girl just doesn't have a clue. We took our business to the mill house instead of waiting.
horrible service we waited for about 25 minutes to get a table when we entered to the restaurant there were many table empty still inside we waited about 10 minutes more for the bread we never ever we will be back to this restaurant
