Excellent restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast there. The dinner was all fresh home cooked and very reasonable. The catfish was amazing as was the Rib Eye Steak. The staff was very accommodating. We loved it so much we returned for breakfast. The breakfast was a bit pricey (actually cost us more than dinner) but was very good and the portions were huge. We will definitely return when we are in the area (:
Alleged southern cooking... We stopped for breakfast, which was not served with grits! Odd huh? I'm surprised at the great reviews of this place, and am guessing they weren't breakfast, which is AWFUL! We ordered eggs, mine over medium, and cooked perfectly; my friend ordered scrambled and said they were just OK. I had bacon, again, just OK; she had sausage that was totally inedible; incredibly salty and dry. When I complained to the waitress she said, 'it's local'.... huh? Anyway, we both had pancakes, and even they were too salty to eat... who makes salty pancakes????? Our bill, including tax and tip? A whopping $32, for something that we could have gotten at any pancake place for well under $20. We should have checked the cars in the parking lot before going in NO CARS WITH GEORGIA PLATES, which means no locals at breakfast. I asked to speak to the manager, who wasn't in, and there was really nobody to speak to... really???? This place is on auto-pilot with no supervision? They need somebody just to guard the salt! I would neither recommend nor ever go to this ripoff place again... ever!
The fried chicken filet is excellent. Hubby had pecan crusted catfish and loved it. Great meal every time.
We had hoped for a good dining experience, and we were not disappointed. The chicken fried steak was a little too heavy, but other items our party had were absolutely delicious. The service was quick, the atmosphere pleasant, and our waitress was a joy to be around.
fantastic five stars we travel a lot an eat a lot . better than ay restaurant we ate at in Dillard Ga. just happen to stop and glad we did. Prices were great. A south Ga. girl will go back to North Ga..
