LongHorn Steakhouse

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner there late Tuesday night after an exhausting cross country move. I thought that a cosmetic bag with medications in it might have fallen out of my purse at the restaurant. When I noticed that it was missing, I called the the restaurant about 11:00 PM. My son had predicted that no one would answer the phone or care about my lost items. What a DELIGHTFUL surprise it was to talk with Robin, the manager, who personally went to check for my bag and also asked the waitresses about it and took down my phone number in case it was located later!!! In this world of "customer no-service" as Clark Howard calls it, it was GREATLY APPRECIATED. I am sure that Robin and his staff were tired and ready to go home, yet they took the time and effort to help and seemed genuinely concerned about my loss! THANKS A MILLION!!!!! Helen

Good Food..SOmetimes service is good sometimes not/

Super dry chicken, over cooked steak, over priced drinks, over this place!

I love the shrimp and lobster soup! Good steaks. Typical Longhorns.

The Dawsonville Longhorns has been slowly but definitely slipping over the past years in food quality. Living 5 minutes away, my family frequented this restaurant a couple of times a month since its opening. But the past three times I have been there (over the past 2 months of this 2010 summer), I have sadly had to recognize that their food quality is quite awful now, and they just don't really care enough to do anything to fix their issues. And when I say awful... I mean it. Meat that is cooked either extremely raw or extremely overdone and tough... nowhere in between, much less what was ordered. And this disappointing situation applies across the board to multiple family members sitting at the same table, who order different meals. It is frustrating to wait for such a long time for the entrees to arrive, only to have the meal disrupted by sending the entrees back to the kitchen for fixing (sometimes multiple times). Service also has declined, with drink orders and drink re-fills being consistently forgotten throughout the meals, across multiple visits. My family has since turned to Osaka as our family dinner place in Dawsonville, because the food is really good and we never have a problem there.
