They have cornered the market on fried chicken livers and fried chicken. Bar none, the best I've ever had. Everything else on the bar was very bland, including the desserts. The decor has not changed since I was 13, I am now 35. If your ordering to-go, the portions sizes are large but the sides are still just, Ho Hum.

We returned to Ellijay late this year. I was eager to eat at Yellow Jackets for several reasons. Their soup and salad bar, their friendly service, their reasonable prices and their chicken livers! There weren't any changes or surprises when we lunched there last week. The menu was the same as last year, so were the prices. The salad bar has several already made salads including corn bread salad, which is a Southern favorite. The veggie soup is also good for ya! My order of fried chicken livers must have made the Chick-Fil-A cows happy. It was loaded. There was a large bowl of gravy for the mashed potatoes and dipping the livers. Jerry had the fried chicken dinner done to perfection. We both took home boxes. His wife enjoyed the chicken. My wife hates liver, so there were 2 more meals for me. If you're heading to McCaysville or other places in the vicinity, give Yellow Jacket a try. You'll be a regular after that!
