Our delicious, perfectly prepared food arrived swiftly and with a smile. The chef clearly knows his way around fresh quality ingredients prepared in a novel and delicious way, so we will be back again. It was reasonably priced too.The restaurant, however, looks like an upscale diner, complete with a television mounted above the tables. Four stars because I felt that this restaurant was a bit of a mismatch between the food and the ambiance.

Across the street. Few paces and spaces from where I stand. I saw it come to life. From an empty lot to what it has become. I love it. It is always friendly and never too crowded for you to be told to wait or a forced "I am so sorry." The service friendly. The kabob or the hummus or the pita always fresh... more rice... fluffy and not sticky... cascading from the fork... a white billowy sight to enjoy...the smell and slickery taste of olive oil... passing... like the cars in traffic by the windows...I have eaten with family, and with friends and alone... with white wine or sangria or water... flawless... consistent. Same... and ina hectic life... valued.

We, our team, LOVES this place and have it at least once a week and have it delivered to our hotel. We recommend our guests to go and check it out and they all come back with rave reviews as well. Their service is friendly and, did I mention how good their food is? What do we order that's so good? We normally order lunch so it's the wrap specials, especially their Chicken Shawarma wrap that is marinated in these fantastic flavors. It comes with the best fries in all of downtown Tampa. Seriously. Try this place out! You won't be disappointed.

Here visiting Tampa before a cruise and we walked by this restaurant at lunch time while it was closed. The owner (who was exceptionally friendly) saw us looking at the menu and came out and handed us a menu to take with us and apologized that they were not open as they had given their staff the morning off for Thanksgiving/Black Friday. He then invited us back for dinner when they opened later in the evening. Because we had such a pleasant experience and he had taken the time to come outside and chat with us, we returned for dinner and had the most amazing meal. My grandmother had the Grilled Moroccan Lamb, which came with a DELIGHTFUL arugula salad with a lime vinaigrette and oven dried tomatoes, perfectly cooked rice and two perfectly grilled scallops. The combination of the lamb and scallops was really a treat, and the lamb was not over done, so tender and juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I had the Shawarma Platter (chicken) which came with the arugula salad, rice, and a very tasty garlic sauce. A true step up from your average Shawarma. Their beer and wine selection is above average and the Sangria is homemade and is a bit different than expected, but SOO good. The best part of our experience tonight was that the Chef came out and spoke with us a for a few minutes to see that we were enjoying our meal and to tell us about what is to come for Kurdi's. The passion and excitement he has for food only tells me that Kurid's has a bright future and I look forward to returning again in the near future! The only problem is, that I cannot tell which was better - the food or the service!!
