Walmart Supercenter

Visiting Tallahassee on a cold evening, I stopped in for tights for my oldest daughter and bathing suits for my three kids. Parking was typical of Walmart - search, search and continue searching. Walking into this Walmart, I couldn't help but to notice the painted and unkempt floors. Overall, the store had an old and dirty look. This visit was my first to this particular location. My wife - who waited in the car with the kids - advised that the store was previously a Sam's Club. Asking for help from an employee, I was directed to the kids section to buy tights while being advised they didn't sell bathing suits. The African American worker - without a name tag - was polite and helpful. Store was not busy and I didn't wait that long for a cashier. Unlike most Walmart locations, this store did have enough cashiers. A quick visit to the bathroom made me happy that I only needed to do number 1 versus number 2. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet lids were soiled. My two-star rating may be harsh, but this Walmart was dirty and rundown. While you can excuse age, you cannot excuse cleanliness. No excuse whatsoever. /s/ William E Lewis Jr., Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida.
This Walmart is ok and closest to my home...it's the smallest one, it does not even have a garden center. I am not sure if he's still there but there's a dude working there that is a certified idiot. Used to work at the Thomasville road location where he did this, I had my stuff separated by divider stick. While distracted getting ready to pay, he lifted the stick without asking me and proceeded to add the next set of stuff to the first. I'd divided them due to one was home pay and one was corporate. He messed me up so bad, would not admit his mistake and kept saying it's ok lady when it was not ok. Then at N. Monroe, he came over to help my good clerk and found an item from last time, my hubby and I are middle aged sometimes things get overlooked. He asked me is this yours. My hub had bought it so I did not recognize it or know where he'd gotten it so I said I don't know where did you find it, he did not answer. Instead of saying oh look this was in here from last time he pocketed it!! It was from Winn Dixie and I said I came in with it, he said ok if that's true....he was trying to steal it from me and implied that I stole it from them! He's really a terrible clerk. I hope he's gone by now.
Pretty adequate. The options in this particular location are pretty limited, something always seems to be out of stock. Other than that, it's clean, and the lines aren't always backed up
Worst experience I have ever had at any grocery store. A simple problem with an item being rang in twice was handled as unprofessionally as possible. I'd rather chew glass than shop there again.
The general Walmart customer experience has declined so much that the only reason to go to Walmart these days is for a one-stop-shop when you need groceries and something else a grocery store won't have, but this one is too small to really serve that purpose. The "something else" is just as likely to not be found and the selection is not on par with what a Supercenter should be. That said it is still conveniently located and has a far better (and less rude) customer base than many other locations which in my view alone warrants four stars, I'd just rather get my food at a grocery store and make a 2nd stop for the specialty item elsewhere if they were just as unlikely to have it.
