Hungry Howie's

If all you are looking for is some of the one topping specials for pickup, then this place is good. Better than the Little Caesar's special, in my opinion, while only costing a little more. Unfortunately if you're wanting to feed the family with some delivery their prices are just too high. The deals for the local Hungry Howies around here typically offer a couple of medium pizzas with 2 or so toppings for roughly the same price that Pizza Hut chargers for a couple of large pizzas with the same number of toppings.(I actually recently ordered two larges from Pizza Hut and the deal was a $1 cheaper than Hungry Howie's deal for two mediums) It bums me out because I really like the flavored crusts that Hungry Howie's offers, but the value proposition has just been too much to overcome. I haven't ordered delivery from Hungry Howies in almost a year due to this, but I still occasionally do their pickup deal for the one topping large pizzas. That pickup special is really the only thing I can recommend about them.
We live just about 1/2 mile from Howie's and have been regular customers for years and enjoy their pizza, wings and salads very much. However, over the last few months their service has declined, with longer wait time and numerous incorrect orders. E.g., again tonight for the second time in about a month, we got thick crust when we had ordered thin & crispy. This was actually a replacement order - the first order was covered in bacon for some unknown reason and was sent back. The replacement had the correct toppings but the wrong crust! By the time it arrived we were starving so ate it anyway. But, I hate thick crust and if this happens one more time, I will no longer be a Howie's customer.
By far the best pizza on this side of town, not only because it is the only pizza place on this side of town but it is very good, the service is fairly fast and real cheese is used. I recommend a Howie sub like the steak and mushroom...yummy
