dinner at this restaurant was one of the most disappointing in a long time. we made a reservation for Valentine's Day. Their website did not mention that they would have a set Valentine's menu (which barely had anything to choose from). the food was worse than just okay, yet way overpriced. the service was far from good either. Our waitress was never around. she barely checked on us. we had been waiting for over 30 minutes to get a check. on top of that, she had decency to include 18% gratuity. do not waste your time or money! there are thousands of really good places in the neighborhood.
Great food that you can tell uses better ingredients than the standard restaurant. So happy we found this place to eat, especially since we were travelling to South Beach to eat for decent food. We also had our 1-year-old with us and she even loved the food -- a rarity for us when going out to eat. Great to see organic on a menu too!

you want a side of attitude with that? the food is well prepared, but the owner makes you feel unwelcome.
Hotel has a formal, uninviting atmosphere. During our stay there were very few guests, but we were stuck in street-side room that faced the intercoastal, rather than the ocean. Staff is haughty, often unhelpful. Restaurant food very expensive and uninteresting (Cesar salad was Romaine lettuce (on the stalk) briefly braised and sprinkled with a little vinegar). Better off going to the grocery across the street! Room was large and nice, with a full kitchen but no sharp knives, though there was a cutting board for some reason. Uninspired workout classes, empty gym. Spa is nice, but spa services extremely expensive and of uneven quality. During my pedicure the manicurist could not be bothered to see that she was hurting me, even when I yelped several times (others were staring at me, so I know I could be heard). No comaraderie with other patrons--everyone kept to themselves. Not what I had heard about other Canyon Ranches. I will not return, and do NOT recommend this spa.
