Went there earlier this year with my grandmother (95) and mother (70). We did not want to drive out to Gainesville to eat. They received a lot of food but none of it was edible. Both ordered ribs and they could not get the meat off the bones. The corn on the cob tasted like it had been sitting in stale water for days. They even managed to ruin the mashed potatoes. While it was cheap, the matriarchs of my family ate bread for dinner. I had ordered a salad. My salad was edible but it was not good. There is no good place to eat in Hawthorne and whenever they visit, we must go elsewhere. Save your money and time and just move on through Hawthorne if you want something to eat. I suppose the only place to eat where you know what you will be getting is Subway. Anyhow, I have no idea how this place remains in business. I suspect people just don't know any better.
The food was great and the service was really fast! I got sweet tea, BBQ beef, baked beans (So Good!), garlic bread and french fries.
Serves was awful. waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged another 10 minutes to place an order still no drinks after another 10 minutes we just walked out.
Stopped for breakfast and it was wonderful. Food was good and service was outstanding. Staff was calling most of customers by name and it really gave a friendly home town feeling to the place. Will stop there again.
Great food and friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
