My wife had been looking forward to eating all-u-can-eat crab legs for some time and after researching seafood buffets, I could only find 2 in this region... One in Orange Beach (Hazels) and then Captain Kidds.. You would think there would be more options in this region... I had read all of the reviews for both of these and decided on Captain Kidds because it looked like a nicer restaurant. When we got there, we were happy to see that it was right on the water and enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Walking by the buffet, it looked appealing and varied and could not wait to dig in. My first option was the gumbo soup which was to die from (not for...). I could only eat 2 bites of it.. I tried as much different items on the buffet as my stomach could handle and i would consider the buffet slightly below average. Most of the baked fish was overcooked, the rice was too soft, or items just lacked good flavor.. The highlights of the dinner were: - friedshrimp (some of the best i've had) - fried fish (i think it was grouper but there was no label) - crab legs - cheesecake - buffet was constantly restocked - service was good - nice balcony/view Overall i dont think it was really worth the price however I might return highlights i mentioned above.. I am just more dissappointed there aren't more seafood buffets in this area..

The music, the bands, the lights, the view, the bar tenders, the dj, and the atmosphere is unmatched by anyone, anywhere.
