A bit of a hole in the wall but excellent food from the meat to the sides and very affordable. The gentlemen at the register (possibly the owner) was kind and seems to care about his customers. We happened upon this place on our way south and were somewhat hesitant to try with it being a bit shabby but don't let the outside fool you, the food is well worth the stop!
Not just the best BBQ for the money, (although it is that) Smokin' Joe's is the best BBQ around, period! Portions are huge, I've tried it all, pork, beef, chicken... all superior. Don't leave without trying the smoked mullet! The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, as most of these small mom & pop places do, but is more than made up for in the quality of the food!
Pulled pork was freshly cooked and very tender. The lunch platter was a virtual all you can eat lunch for only $6.99 plus drink.
Best BBQ I ever eaten so for... Very consistent too...
