My husband and I went out on a date and ate at the SouthPark Steak house. It was absolutely delicious! I got the shrimp & salmon lemon crème pasta... it was probably the best meal I've ever eaten! My husband got the rib eye and said it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was fun & relaxed. The service was great! It was a great experience from start to finish!

Ate here for lunch on a Friday and it was just fine. I'd recommend it. We had a burger and the salmon wrap. Home cut fries were very good. Service great. Sat in their really nice, sunny quiet outdoor patio with large fountain. After lunch enjoyed some ice cream from the adjacent shop.

I don't know what's happened to this restaurant but it ain't good. After being burned at the Burro, we thought we'd found the ideal place, nice lunch menu and steak price that made it worth going out of the way to eat here. Ate here six or seven times. Never friendly service but, hey. Go there today and it's like the 'manager' (Hannah wasn't there) and the surly hostess/waitress wanted to piss us off and make us feel unwelcome. We stood up and left, saying 'Nice to know you.' We'll never eat here again. After we left, we found the Fairplay-Valiton Hotel dining room (lunch prices til 3:00) and will eat there now. My prediction: South Park Steak House will be out of business within 12 months. They're that bad.

They were out of onion rings and hamburger. Yup, out of hamburger. Oh, the waiter realized this after we waited 15 mins from ordering. I think the guy might have been on a crack withdrawal.

The food was overpriced and very sub-par. Our son doesn't like fries so he had rice and it was so bad! He said he couldn't eat it because it was too salty, so my husband and I tasted it and it was drowning in soy sauce and still half raw! (the waitress didn't care to hear about it). The steak special was drowning in gravy even though it came with blue cheese and it was $27. The waitress was not at all concerned that our daughter couldn't have wheat and we had to specifically ask for each item and when the salmon came covered in a thick sauce we asked her if it had wheat and she was annoyed that we would even ask. We made her ask the cook and tried to explain that any amount of wheat would make our daughter very very sick. On top if it all, we had heard that they were running a two for one dinner special so, I called ahead to see if it was on and was told that it was. I said we would be in a little after six and was told it would be fine to just come in. Well we got there at 6:20 and our waitress told us that is was only from 5 to 6. So we paid full price. It took our whole eating out budget for the month. Then to top things off the waitress' two kids were running around the dining room and going in the kitchen and our table was right by the kitchen doors. If it was a cheap meal, we wouldn't have cared as much, but it was supposed to be a more upscale place. We are locals and do take our family out once or twice a month, but will never go back. We just can't afford to blow all that money and leave with a bitter taste in our mouth. It is too bad since we like the owner and we try to support the businesses in our small town, but we are after all working class and don't have money to throw away.
