Usually small mom-and-pop tobacco shops have great prices to get your business over 7-11, gas stations, etc. Not these guys. A pack of regular Marlboro No 27s cost me $5.90 - there wasn't even a deal if I got 2 or more, nor did it matter I was paying cash. That price is even more than the 7-11 that's only 2 blocks away. That said, I admit I did not ask what the carton price was, but I am not expecting much better. Perhaps the deal is on some off brand, but if so it wasn't advertised, nor would I be interested anyway. The store itself is narrow and cramped, and the employees seem like they could care less - the dude made me wait to get a single pack of smokes while a teenager browsed overpriced, cheaply made weed pipes. Silly kid, I told him to go to Venice Beach instead aa I was leaving. Maybe they don't card kids or something, and that's how they stay in business - I have no idea but it wouldn't surprise me. If you happen to read this looking up a tobacco shop, you can't go wrong by looking another few seconds and finding another one.
