1/3/15 I love road trips! Every time my husband and I hit the road we find somewhere fun and new - even if it's on a journey we've done countless times before. Corning, CA isn't on our regular travel route, but on our drive to Bend we passed through here and I found the Olive Pit. This place is awesome! CAsey doesn't really like olives, but he loves olive oil. I like everything, and this place really has it all for travelers. Aside from countless varieties of olives and olive oil (most of which you can sample while here) they also have fruits, nuts, seeds, and other amazing snacks. Perfect for road trips; perfect for parties; perfect for my hungry mouth! We (mostly me) filled a basket with a variety of spicy and sweet specialty snacks, including: roasted and salted pumpkin seeds (amazing!! $3.68), smoked olives ($3.99), hot chili peppers (really fn hot!! $1.89) and some buttered peanuts ($5.29). Everything was delicious! The store is really fun to walk around - they have drinks also (soda $2.19, large bottle of ice cold water $1.69). It's definitely one of the highlights of our trip north!
Very busy, long line at checkout but well worth the wait. Great olives, OK prices $, Wonderful place for pitstop when driving north or south on I-5. I cann't drive by Corning without stopping for a bottle of olives and a container of dried/sugerized pineapple ring.
Been coming here for years. Great products. Free tastings. Deli has some good sandwiches and the milkshakes are awesome.
This place is great. They had a huge selection of olives, oils, vinegars, etc. and lots of opportunity to taste their items. We had some wonderful sandwiches featuring their olives in their cafe and the best mandarin orange olive oil shake ever! Sounds weird I know, but it tasted delicious. Best of all, I left my purse in their cafe and they shipped it back to me, express mail, without any charge. THANK YOU Olive Pit! We're fans for life.
Great place! Free tasting! Delicious olives! All kinds of them with so many staff, different kinds of olive spreads, vinegars and oil. Convenient work hours.
