Delicious carne asada tacos with nopalitos-special for prickly pear festival. But even better was the care we received from this family run cafe when our car broke down in Superior.
Skip Los Hermanos and give this place a try. We stumbled upon it since it's off of Main Street instead of the 60 Highway. Looked a little dingey and dirty from the outside, but it's really not. A very nice lady was overloaded by a lot of people on this Sunday afternoon. She said if we wanted beer we could go to the store and then bring it in. So we did! Chips and salsa were delicious and once the main courses got there they were delicious too.
This place was very good. I passed it and at first sight thought that it'd be a good place for lunch. The place looked neat. The outside of the building had a big dinosaur mural painted on it that I thought looked really neat. The food was great. I had a Super Superior Chicken Burro, which came with rice, lettuce and a tomato slice on the side. As well as sour cream, guacamole, and baked apple slices. The food was great! The chips were a great texture and very fresh and the salsa was good. I've had better guacamole in California, but that's ok, it wasn't bad! I had chocolate cake for desert and that was amazing! Service was fantastic! Our waitress was super friendly as was the man who I'd assume to be the owner. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, instead of 5 is because there was a "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" sign in the lawn in front of the resteraunt which caught my attention as we were walking towards building. Yet the sour cream, guacamole, and baked apple slices all were served in little plastic cups with plastic lids. For take-out this would ok, but for dining-in there is no need.
