Water and lemonade both tasted nasty. Out of soup so I got a side salad instead (only 3 types of dressings offered), I was told I couldn't get the salad until I got my BLT so, therefore, the BLT was cold when I ate it. My husband got a side salad instead of fries and was supposed to get TX toast with his meal. He received HIS salad before his meal, but got fries too and no toast. One waitress yelled at the old lady working the cash register.
We stopped at the Buckboard Restaurant for breakfast on our way through on HWY 60. The cook and I have different ideas on how eggs are cooked to order. He was verbally abusive to the wait staff, loud enough to be heard throughout the restaurant, when I sent my breakfast back due to undercooked eggs. I received eggs back, along with my original plate that had become cold in the meantime. I heard him tell the wait staff that he would cook an additional meal as long as I paid for the additional meal! As far as I can tell the owner/cook has no conception of what “Customer Service” means. I would recommend trying one of the other restaurants in town.
This place is awesome! Best burgers for miles around. Worth the drive from Phoenix.
I don't usually drive through Superior in the morning, but when I do I stop at Buckboard City. It's not fancy, but inexpensive, tasty, stick-to-your-ribs type fare. Never heard of a hamburger & bacon omelette, but loved the one I had this week.
