Pizzeria Mimosa
Reviews

The best Italian food I had in the USA! If you like Italian Italian food meaning the original, not the american twist on it, you will love this place. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The pizza crust was a 10 out of 10 (leaving the pizza at 9.9/10). I'm already thinking how I can make the trip from Chandler to Sierra Vista more often.

I've been to Mimosa a few times and it's been ok, this last time was the last! The waitress was very rude and did not care about our drinks or food. My in laws were in town, so we took them out to dinner. A table of 6 people and the place only had one other table. Our food took over 25 min to get. It is WAY over priced for the quanity you get, my husbands $23 stake had no flavor, rubbery, dry and looked smaller then the 6oz at Outback. They did not have any baby friendly food, such as plane pasta. They are not baby/kid friendly, my visit prior I was with friends and they have kids 4 and 9, they told me after that visit they would not come back.

Probably the best restaurant in the entire area. The food is usually prepared very well and the ambiance is well thought out. One star is subtracted because for some reason they haven't quite gotten the spacing between courses down yet. You can basically count on appetizers, main courses and desserts being about 4 minutes apart or less. I've literally had to send main courses back so they could wait until we had sufficient time to enjoy the appetizer.

I had a wonderful lunch there. A Panini Pompeii that was delicious. My dining partner had the best fettuccine alfredo she had ever tasted. The menu, the wine list and the interior almost seemed out of place in such a small town. This restaurant was a nice surprise and when we are in the area we will go back again.

It's advertised as authentic Italian, but in reality it's closer to Macaroni Grill than anything else. Seating feels cramped, the acoustics lend to the building always being very loud and often make it hard to hear someone next to you. The price is fairly low and the portions are large. The view around the back area is nice at dusk, but the view from everywhere else is a dirty little desert town and a gas station. In all it's a decent little restaurant severely hampered by poor seat planning, bad architectural design and being located in a horrible area all while being advertised as something it simply is not.
