Wish, I knew about this place when I worked at the airbase. A must stop if headed to the dam site. Their coleslaw is what coleslaw should be like. I've never had coleslaw taste this good outside of the Northeast. Just a little lemon and it's absolutely perfect. Their dessert section is very impressive and their customer service is stellar. They still have wooden plates!
I've eaten here twice and both times were awful. Had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to receive our food, and when it arrived everything was over cooked, bland, and tasteless. Have no idea how hard it is to fry frozen shrimp, but they managed to mess it up. The service was terrible as well

The catfish and hush puppies are delicious. So are the green tomatoes.
