If you have not been to this restaurant, you are definitely missing out on something. I've been here 5 times and had 5 amazing meals. I have had mussels, hanger steak, fish, carpaccio, multiple desserts, soups, salads, rice balls, brown butter and sage pasta (their little purses), and have yet to be disappointed. The man is a talented genius!
I would wager this is the best Italian restaurant in this entire metro area, but don't consider that a backhanded complement. The owners are from the north (NYC) and the food is legitimately great. Northern Italian dishes and flavor. This place is packed, you will almost assuredly need a reservation. People were still coming in after 10 pm. Service is also terrific, using team approach. Size is smallish, but not crowded. If you like Italian, this is the place to go.
Had the Linguini with Clam Sauce. Never had the Red Sauce before and it was awesome. Service was excellent. Highly recommend
The BEST and most authentic Italian I have had in the state of Alabama. I absolutely LOVE this place!! Food, wine, service... everything is great.
