Group of 5 went there for lunch during a very busy festival event with people lined up at the door to get in. They handled it well. They had a limited menu so the food didn't take too long. The crab cake BLT I had was to die for and the bourbon pecan pie was fantastic. The service was great! I would go back to try dinner!
We had high expectations. The waitress started out very nice and attentive. The appetizers came right out. But the vinagret on the salad was way salty. Then the entrees took forever to come out and the waitress was less, and less friendly when we didn't prder more alcohol to fill in the wait. When the entees came, they were hot, but awful. My "garlicky" shrimp and grits had a strong fishy taste underneath the whole lemon that was squirted on top in the kitchen. First it was a pucker followed by fishy. It was expensive and just not good. Sigh.
Food was fantastic, service was very good but the place is extremely loud!! If you want to scream at the people you are with while you have a conversation then this is the place for you. Not our idea of a nice evening out. They need to move the bar to the back and remodel or just turn it into a bar. We loved the food but have no desire to go back! Our waiter was so loud because he had to be to be heard over the other people in there, he startled me twice because he was screaming so we could hear him. Would not recommend!
The chef knows how to cook. Best chef on eastern shore; however can't handle a rush. Needs better dining room management or reservation policy. No excuse to wait 45 minutes to an hour between appetizer and main course. Good luck to him, because he is earnest and hard working.
