Perhaps this is just a greatly exaggerated memory from my childhood, but when we went here in pre-2000 it was so good!
Arctic PIzza has the best view of any restaurant in Barrow. If the upstairs is open, go up and sit close to a window to get a second story view of the ocean. This is one of several restaurants in Barrow that really are a must do experience. It's always interesting.
i loved there bread and dip appetizer, the pizza sauce is not the best and they use canned mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms thats a no no, but other than that they have great hospitality a great view and they have great customer service i would return again.
I ate here several years ago. The pizza wasn't the best, but for a place cut off from the rest of the world except by plane and ship (only when the ice has thawed) it really wasn't bad. There isn't much fresh up there in the winter and items that are cost a whole h**l of a lot, so stop being so picky. The restaurant is a great place to meet with friends while you are up there exploring the true arctic. Enjoy it knowing that you ate at the most northern pizza place in the US. Cheers!
