on dining there over valentines dinner the meals were well received after abit of a wait but very delicious and plentiful.... my partner had ordered the pork belly meal, and I ordered the sirloin steak done to perfection, medium rare...the staff were friendly and busy.... we had to shift tables as their was one annoying child who just cried during the whole duration 1hr10mins while waiting for our meal, maybe if someone had fed her she mite have shut up, i noticed the other occupants a family of five were waiting outside in the smoking area till their meal was ready!!!!!again maybe if their meals or the childs meal was served first it would have made a difference....... given that she was with a party of 10....

I've recently going to this bar and totally loved it. I highly recommend for a someone to have good food.

was just out to dinner tonight, being a Tuesday. Have brought my partner over from Te Awamutu, to see what the dining out would be like in Cambridge. My experience was how to say nicely, very bad. I ordered my dinner, steak meal, medium, it came out to me so well done i just couldnt eat it. As im not the person that would usually give back a meal, it took alot for me to take this back. Staff where very friendly, taking it back asking me if i would like a replacement, I thought that I would try something else. Thought deep fried seafood, would be a quicker replacement for my meal, as my partner was just about through her meal. Meal came out, looked nice, started to eat the first scollop, it was cold. Open the batter of the second scollop, it wasnt cooked, and the inside was cold. Had to take back the second dish back from the same meal. Responce I got was so sorry can we get you another meal. I had lost my appitate by this time. Partners meal was okay, she ordered pudding, but I just didnt want to eat anything after this experience. The sad part about this is that I paid for the meal for my partner, and our drinks, and her pudding, but didnt get much in the way of any regret, other than a friendly smile as we left. A discount at least is what i would expect, and I will be voicing my concerns to the manager via a letter. Brent Pottage
