The threatment of the guests is really awefull. At the dinner, one of the employees served the dinner in a way a glass of orange fall over my trouses. His reaction was that it was not his fault, because I didn't create enough space on the table WTF, is that the way how you serve a dinner?

the surroundings are awesome, quite, green, pleasant, a bit out of reach but one can still make it by public transport; the most pittiful: the (unfriendly) staff is not well organised and the rooms are quite expensive; no reasonably affordable meals are served in the area either, neither at the hostel. Breakfast is not the best compared to other stayokays. I stayed three times, for the area is really lovely and fit for ecology lovers...three times there was some kind of confusion with bookings (both accomodation & food resevation) and I was relieved to see that some other users had the same problem. Important to notice that there are two buildings there's the main one (castle like) and the aditional one, outside the premisses (in the "backyard"dark &cold&unconfortable) do all you can to stay in the first main one and avoid the "shaggy shag" to which they send you because the main building is almost always fully booked almost a year ahead. Schools often visit it too.

The place is nice and the people working here, very friendly and always happy to help. Unfortunately it seems a rainy area.

Ik kom uit Utrecht, dus bekend. Woon nu in Franeker. We hebben geboekt voor een weekend in januari. Op de site mis ik informatie over de openbaar vervoer mogelijkheid naar het centrum van Utrecht. In een recensie lees ik dat deze er wel is. Ik zou ook foto's willen zien van de zes persoon kamers en vooraf willen weten waar de douches en toiletten zijn. Dat is op de website niet te vinden. We zijn inmiddels hier geweest. Op de 6 pers. kamer (bevindt zich in het landhuis) is een douche en apart toilet. De kamer is zeer eenvoudig, wel schoon, met 3 stapelbedden. De bus (lijn 41) naar centrum Utrecht (CS centrumzijde) is 10 minuten lopen. Zonder OV kaart, kun je een kaartje bij de chauffeur kopen voor 2,70 euro. Na 18.00 uur en op za en zo is dit ook een retourkaart. Het ontbijt is ruim voldoende. De dame die daar werkt is heel vriendelijk. Schuin tegenover (bij receptie) is een gezellige horeca gelegenheid. 's Zomers zijn er grote terrassen aan de oever van de Kromme Rijn. Ik lees in recensies dat het personeel onvriendelijk zou zijn. In het hoogseizoen werkt er veel personeel, meest studenten, deze zouden dan beter opgeleid moeten worden . De algemene klacht in recensies is altijd onvriendelijk personeel en niet schone kamers. Het is een mooie omgeving om te wandelen en te fietsen. Stayokay heeft vele gezichten. We waren ook bij Stayokay Texel en Terschelling, vooral Texel is aan te raden, compleet anders dan Bunnik/Utrecht.
