Red George Public House Inc The
Reviews

The Red George is our one of our regular haunts. It is the epitome of a community restaurant, a place you want to go to enjoy a warm welcome and comfort food. Hamish makes some excellent dishes, even some 1812-period food once a month at a dinner series. The atmosphere, with exposed stone walls, is very warm and a great place to hang out.

Definite thumbs up based on one nights dining for a family of four with two teenagers. The kids enjoyed the tried-and-true pub fare while my wife and I enjoyed the more special plates: excellent seafood crêpe and mussels appetizer as dinner. Deserts were very fine too. Outside dining has an obscured lookout to the river - seating is situated lower to a parking lot between the restaurant and the river. Still there's no traffic except for river traffic - we saw a big barge going by during dinner and walked over to the river to watch it go by, which was fun. And otherwise, it was nice just to be outside in perfect weather.
