Bed Bugs. Had to fight tooth and nail to get a refund. Owner tried to intimidate me during the process. Clientele would stare me down while I was outside having a smoke. Don't reccomend to anyone.
Blackfalds Motor Inn is turning the tables on what used to be a "seedy" motel. It's taking them some time, but as a frequent visitor to this motel, bar and restaurant, I can see a difference in their clientele as well as the cleanliness of their rooms. Change takes time, but they are definitely working hard to provide better service and accomodations. Maybe it's because they have competition moving in? Either way, it is improving and their rates are tough to beat.
Room smelt bad, could see through large gaps around the A/C letting all the street noise in the room like the window was open and ran out of hot water in shower. Found beer bottles on my truck in the morning thanks to the bar's cliental. I think the other review, which I believed, was written by the owner to get people in the door. Spend a little more and go to a hotel in Red Deer.
The people that manage the place are very generous and friendly. They will make your stay a fun one. The Lounge is a good getaway from the loud bar seen, the bar is grate if you want to have a night of fun, and you need to eat there at least once. An they have good rates.
