Two Buoys

I like two buoys I don't know why no one else rates it. it keeps all the yobbos and guidos off the beach and piles them together with overpriced food and sub-standard coffee. the breakfast u order will be different everytime. it's a place we stuff all the out of towners 10/10
Very mininal tapas menu. One tapas dish is approx $6-9 and servings are very small. Just one chicken skewer cost $6... and that supposedly was to share. Expect to pay around $50 per head for tapas to fulfill an average appetite. Add expensive drinks if you don't drink tap water. The 'to share' side dish menu was not of a high standard. For example a 1/4 stick of chorizo (sliced and fried in too much oil) cost almost $10. There were only about 8 tiny slices of what tasted like oil laced kabana/twiggy stick. That's about $1 per 4mm slice of 15mm diameter woolworths deli stick. Service was fantastic but you should expect that from the 6 different people waiting on us for our visit. Honestly, of course the service would be good with this ratio of waiters to one table. Shortly afterwards, we were really hungry again as it was not that filling... I recommend your local deli or the fish and chip shop right next door to it.
Disappointed with size of portions and the cost. Two of us were still hungry so I ordered another serving this time the chorizo with lemon .... I would have been embarrassed by the portion that was served if I gave it to some-one. So I left still hungry and now angry after $100!
Two Bouys Tapas & Wine Bar would have to be one of the more disappointing experiences on the Peninsula. Not only is their food rather awful, it is way over priced for what is served, including the drinks. Quite an unpleasant experience with the waitress being very rude. The owner lurked nearby when we expressed our disappointment, he didn't have the decency to speak to us himself, but allowed his staff to rudely dismiss our concerns. Definitely won't be returning and advising others don't waste your time or money here.
Love, love, loved everything about Two Buoys. I dined with two friends and loved it so much I must have told everyone I saw. The following week 6 of my friends dined there and adored it also. Rave reviews all around. A great menu with loads of tapas style dishes and share plates. Such a great menu, I don't think there was one thing I didn't want to try. Tiny crayfish rolls - chunks of crayfish with house made mayo and a little lettuce in house made warm bread rolls - Bliss! The sticky pork taco was to die for. A chunk of pork belly in a sticky sauce with pineapple salsa the crunch of some peanuts and a hit of chilli in a soft tortilla. Possibly the best taco I've ever had. Spanish Prawns in a creamy chilli and garlic sauce - perfectly cooked and served with chargrilled bread to soak up the sauces. even the chips were great and I normally consider them to be a waste of space. A scallop dish and freshly shucked oysters were equally delicious. A good wine list, excellent friendly service from waitstaff who anticipated our every want and need. All in all the best dining experience I have had in many a long day. Thanks two Buoys!
