We were staying at the Port Lincoln hotel under the romance package. As part of the package we were given a $100 voucher for Sarin's. Prior to arriving we rang ahead and organised a King Coffin Bay oyster at a cost for $100. Not to worry the voucher would offset the cost. When we arrived we were shown to our table. The restaurant manager, Janelle, came over congratulated us on our recent nuptials in the most friendliest manner, like she was an old friend. Promptly offered our drinks and proceeded to ask me how I'd like my oyster served. Once I made my decision I was told the Chef would personally prepare and deliver my oyster. A few minutes later, our bottle of squealing pig was delivered on ice. Not long after, the chef arrived with my oyster. He explained how he had prepared it and after I was finished he asked if I could return it so it could be cleaned and I could take the shell home. We placed our orders, garlic prawns and the special, twice cooked pork belly for entrée and the special, stuffed chicken and seafood platter for one. I've traveled extensively and I can honestly say that the pork belly was possibly the nicest I've ever eaten. The meat was still juicy while the skin was crispy and crunchy. The garlic pawns were delicious and fresh. The mains arrived and the assortment of seafood on the platter was excellent. My only gripe would be the baby octopus could have possibly been cooked a little longer. The chicken was juicy and not dry and my wife maintains the carrots which accompanied the chicken were the best she's ever had! The service from Janelle was beyond reproach. She constantly made her way to our table to see how we were doing and made the whole dining experience very special. If you come to Port Lincoln, Sarin's is a must visit.
