The Polish Place
Reviews

Perfect, flawless, just a great restaurant and location, try the Bigos!

Fantastic restaurant; went here as a treat for my Polish lady and she loved how authentic the atmosphere and cooking were. Will revisit in the future!

Stopped over on after non stop 1 hour long drive from Coolangatta through Mount Tamborine, first place with a great view down the mountain and lots of cars park outside the driveway i.e. very inviting place to stop for a coffee / hot milo on the cold Winter day 12 July 2013. Me and my wife from Singapore, came looking for nice view and we got great mountain view instead. We were wowed by the cottage garden view and the many colourful Rainbow Lorikeets flying around in our midst. It was as what my wife "very close to nature" as we come from an urban city and it is nice to escape it all in this tiny paradise. The hot chocolate and long black was brought out hot and warms the heart in the winter day and 2 young waitresses in native (presumably) Polish costume were friendly too. Plus there was a tour office attached at next cottage which was helpful to provide us where to go within Mount Tamborine. The lorikeets was cute and came real close to our table, and love the leftover sweet sugar (i.e. they are not afraid of you haha). You could take candid shots with these birds perched on your hands if you like. After touring around Mount Tamborine, guess where we end up for nice warm meal, no where else on Mount Tamborine looks more inviting. The food that arrived was great, my wife having the salmon and mine chicken (not food critic). The fish was fresh and chicken tender with the very nice sauce. We elected to cosy up inside under the warm chimney which was burning and to have privacy. True, prices can be slightly on the high side, but what a view and nice food was definitely worth it. Even for a short layaway, it is highly recommended you stop over for a break after the driving. You bet I will be back next time I come visiting to Mount Tamborine, Gold Coast

Good food, nice view, but was too busy, and service wasn't the best.

Great, place for lunch etc. Had a wonderful afternoon tea. Guests at another table had the signature dish of the restaurant. Duck with apple's. The aroma was great & the way it was presented was marvellous
