Kensington Junction

It is my local drinking hole for the past 13 years since I moved to Crestmead. I have seen many changes, many celebrities have been and gone as well. In the past five six years the locals have come and gone but the bar flies are old and well in their fifties plus. There are new generation of regulars who think that they own the place but do not know that some of us have been around for over a decade. This includes the constant change of management over the years. Ten years ago I would have rated this place a five. Recently however, I would suggest that this is dependent upon the patronage, which has seemingly lowered the quality benchmark a little. Although, the décor has improved dramatically and the Friday night kareoki churns out the fifties, seventies and eighties worn out tunes, the staff are genuinely friendly, and apart from the kareoki fans, the patronage is mainly pokies players and TAB punters which keeps the place grinding on.
