We always have a great time when we go, daytime or in the evening, as well the Lagoon is one of the more accommodating restaurants in town for later bookings (busy schedules, late finishes). It is a great seafood restaurant, but you cannot go wrong with non-seafood menu items as well, giving very tasty options for all. The staff a great, quick and attentive without intruding, the prices are very good, comparable with other restaurants of the same caliber in town and you cannot beat the location. One thing we like to do is get a bottle of sparkling and do a bit of a mini/self degustation from the list of starters. I definitely recommend the Lagoon to anyone looking for a good meal and pleasant evening.
Had a seafood platter here with mum last night and I called 10 minutes before we arrived to ask if we could sit outside since it was such a lovely night! They were really accommodating and had a table set up on their new deck area! The ocean breeze was refreshing, the staff were very friendly and I cant wait to visit there again! Thankyou!
I had lunch there last Friday my 1st time at the lagoon and was very disappointed. I ordered Tempura John Dory with salad and chips,the fish I was served was bassa watery flaky not very tasty fish. I could tell it was bassa and not John Dory it had silver skin was to thick and deep fried. I should have known when I ordered that John Dory does not come served that way. John Dory as I know it is a flat brown fish.
The Lagoon Restaurant has meet all my expectations and more. Great Food, Wonderful service, nothing is a problem and happy to accommodate your every need where possible. Definitely worth a visit.
We had our anniversary dinner on the new Deck, it was great. We had the hot and cold seafood platter. I can see why they are voted Australia's Favourite restaurant.
